Welcome to Jewel Home & Garden Solutions. By using our website and engaging our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms help ensure clarity and fairness for both parties throughout our working relationship.

Quotations & Payment Terms

All quotations are provided in writing at no cost to you. Our quotations include a detailed breakdown of work to be carried out, materials required, and the total cost. Each quotation remains valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

We operate a fair payment policy. Part payment is requested only after work has started and materials are on site. This means you don't pay upfront deposits - we only ask for payment once we've begun the work and materials have been delivered. Final payment is due upon completion of the work and your satisfaction with the finished result.

Payment can be made by cash, cheque, or bank transfer. We accept payment in instalments for larger projects, as agreed in advance. All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT where applicable.

Work Guarantees

All work carried out by Jewel Home & Garden Solutions is fully guaranteed. The specific terms of each guarantee are detailed in your written quotation. Guarantee periods vary depending on the type of work and materials used.

For example, roofing work typically comes with a guarantee covering materials and workmanship. Landscaping projects include guarantees on installation and materials. Painting work is guaranteed against defects in application. We ensure customers are 100% satisfied with our service before considering a project complete.

If any issues arise with completed work during the guarantee period, we will return to address them at no additional cost to you. We stand behind our work and want you to be completely happy with the results.

Insurance & Liability

We maintain comprehensive public liability insurance to protect both our team and your property during all work. This insurance covers accidental damage that may occur during the course of our work. Proof of insurance can be provided upon request.

While we take every care to protect your property and belongings, we recommend that valuable items are moved or protected before work begins. We will discuss any specific requirements with you during the site visit.

We cannot be held liable for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as severe weather conditions, supplier delays, or unexpected site conditions discovered once work begins. In such circumstances, we will keep you informed and work with you to find the best solution.

Project Timelines & Scheduling

We aim to complete all projects within the agreed timeframe. Project start dates are typically scheduled based on material availability, weather conditions, and our existing commitments. We will provide you with a realistic timeline during the quotation stage.

Weather-dependent work, such as exterior painting, roughcasting, or certain landscaping tasks, may need to be rescheduled if conditions are unsuitable. We will communicate any necessary changes to the schedule as soon as possible.

Site Access & Preparation

We require clear and safe access to the work area. This includes parking for our vehicles where possible, and access to utilities such as water and electricity if needed for the work. We will discuss access requirements with you before work begins.

We will take reasonable steps to protect surrounding areas and clean up as we work. However, some dust and disruption may be unavoidable during certain types of work. We will discuss this with you in advance and take appropriate measures to minimise inconvenience.

Changes to Work

If you wish to make changes to the agreed work after we have started, please discuss this with us as soon as possible. Additional work or changes may affect the timeline and cost. We will provide a written quote for any additional work before proceeding.

Similarly, if we discover issues during work that require additional work not included in the original quotation, we will discuss this with you and provide a separate quotation before proceeding.

Complaints & Disputes

We pride ourselves on providing excellent service and quality workmanship. If you have any concerns about our work or service, please contact us immediately. We are committed to resolving any issues quickly and fairly.

Most issues can be resolved through direct communication. We will work with you to find a satisfactory solution. If you remain unsatisfied, we can provide details of our complaints procedure and any relevant trade association memberships.
